Compensator Bike[]

The Compensator Bike is a vehicle in Drive Ahead! released with the Motordrome update. The Compensator Bike can be unlocked by completing the Compensator Mission, which is the fourteenth and final motordome mission. It is a fairly fast bike, and it possesses a very powerful version of Intermittent Boosting.

Appearance[]

The Compensator Bike is a large, half motorbike half monster, which has a monster wheel at the front, and a standard wheel in the back. It also has 2 large exhaust pipes above the back wheel.

Following is a full-size image of the Compensator Bike in a Princess helmet, with an edited background.

Pros[]

  • Large front wheel is excellent for hitting enemies.
  • Great speed and acceleration.
  • Front wheel travels at extremely fast speed.
  • Low downforce.
  • Great strength.
  • Excellent agility due to powerful front wheel and high turn rate.
  • Head is positioned at the back of the bike.
  • Can do a wheelie for added protection.
  • Can also do a reverse wheelie, adding to its otherwise poor back protection.
  • Intermittent Boosting allows it to gain a quick burst of speed to escape, or boost into a car midair.
  • The boost allows for a "Nitro Jump", where it boosts into the air to land atop of taller cars.
  • Good in Battle Arena, King of the Hill, Rift Riders, and Boss Hunt.

Cons[]

  • Less than average back protection.
  • Back wheel is quite slow.

Strategy[]

The bike's back wheel can easily lift up into the air and hit opponents trying to get it from behind. It can also elevate its front wheel quite easily, performing a wheelie which can allow it to hit drivers much easier. Its Intermittent Boost ability allows it to boost midair, so you will normally want to drive backwards, do a flip, and boost into your opponents head. You can also perform a "Nitro Jump", where you boost into the air to land on taller cars. Its new added speed also makes it a better rusher.

Trivia[]

  • It is an enemy in the missions Compensator and Global Warming
  • It, the Saw Bike, Santa's Sleigh, Monster Cannon, Space Bike, Turtle, Alien Attack Drone, Shredder, Snowball Cannon, Firework Truck, Superstar Dragster and the Tank Dragon are the only achievement reward vehicles
  • The helmet which corresponds to the Compensator Bike is the Burning Skull helmet, as in the final hardcore Motordrome mission, it is the helmet which the Compensator Boss is wearing.
  • The Compensator Bike has only 2 visible exhaust pipes, but due to the fact that they obscure part of the back wheel, it most likely has a total of 4 exhaust pipes.
  • The Compensator Bike gained a Nitro ability in update 2.3, which gives it a nice speed and strength boost for about a second
  • After update 2.4.2, many cars must be wary of saws, as they can get their wheels taken off. But, due to most of the Compensator Bike's weight being in it's front wheel, after it gets taken off it becomes an unstable grasshopper, boosting higher and further than before. "This isn't a car, this is a pogo stick."
